A Letter From The Nebraska HIMSS President

Welcome to the Nebraska Chapter of HIMSS website, my name is Mark Criner and I am looking forward to serving as the Nebraska Chapter of HIMSS president for the next 12 months.

The Mission of Nebraska HIMSS is to lead change in the healthcare information and management systems field through knowledge sharing, advocacy, collaboration, innovation, education, and community affiliations in Nebraska.

The new board term started July 1st 2018 and we have a nice mix of experienced HIMSS board members along with some new board members bringing in new energy and ideas. Over the next year, we will continue to focus our efforts towards the technology and clinical needs of our members.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and I applaud the dedication and commitment each Nebraska HIMSS volunteer gives. If you are interested in volunteering for the Nebraska HIMSS Chapter, please visit our website or contact myself or another board member for further information.

I look forward to meeting new members and gaining the invaluable networking experiences with all members at the Nebraska HIMSS events throughout the year. Dates for the Nebraska HIMSS Fall meeting have been confirmed for October 17th and 18th 2018, hope to see you there.

Thank you,

Mark W. Criner CHCIO, CPHIMS, CPHIT
